This year is about dialogue and - for us at least - dialogue cannot come into life without meetings. Any kind of meeting - in physical sense as a prerequisite and meetings in thoughts and/or senses - as a result of the dialogue be it either by words, smiles, touches or voices. That is why we gave the name of our competition: OUR MEETINGS (<a href="http://www.ourmeetings.org/">www.ourmeetings.org</a>). We believe that a competition like this can summarize what we did during this year within the 1001 actions and the contest itself can serve as a follow-up action to the whole. We look forward to receiving from the candidates any work of art in the fields of literature, visual arts or music. The target groups are amateur artists aged 10-30 from ALF member countries. The basic criteria is that 2 (or more) people (of any age, gender, nationality, race, etc.)should be depicted in their meeting. Anyone can place his or her artwork as to the rules and anyone can vote of course. In addition to the votes of the public a jury will act as final decision maker. Depending on the quality and quantity of the received artwork we plan to make it public/exhibited in several selections and locations further to Our Meeting webpage. The awarding ceremony will be held early next year.
